The TOP 5 tourist attractions from Santiago

For me, the main tourist attractions in Santiago that no visitor can miss are:

1) Cerro San Cristóbal: It is a hill divided into three parts, Parque metropolitano, Cerro San Cristóbal and the sector of the Japanese garden, which connects an automobile path and for half of the hill the cable car. In this great tourist center you can find a zoo, picnic areas, games for children, a statue of the Virgin Mary, gardens, funicular, barbecue, etc

2) Parque Forestal: A long and narrow park where it begins in the central market until the Baquedano square. In it we can see different artistic expressions; juggling, puppet games, dance rehearsals, face painting, stunts with cloth and also, games for children and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago. An unmissable place with great cultural diversity.

3) Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral: It is one of the most important places in Santiago in the cultural area. In it we can find art and culture exhibitions, plays, GAM library, talks on different topics, cafeteria, conferences, etc. In addition it must be added that always in their free areas there are different dance groups rehearsing.

4) Museo de la memoria y los Derechos Humanos: This place is one of the most important to know the history of Chile and all the suffering that Chileans experienced during the dictatorship. Here you can find faces of disappeared people, written testimonies of those who lived through this process (children and adults), audiovisual works, letters, objects of torture, etc.

5) SKY Costanera: It is a great viewpoint located in the tallest building in South America, Costanera Center. It is located on the top floor, where you can see much of the city. Emblematic places of Santiago, such as; National Stadium, movistar Arena, Cerro San Cristóbal, Santa Lucía, Parks, etc.
